An open letter to Dale and Maryann Ray – Lakeview Community Church- And Those Who Attended The Letter To The American Church Event on April 19th

I wanted to write this to you so that you heard it from me first hand.  While I have been away for many weeks now, I have had time to think about what transpired leading up to, during, and then after the Letter To The American Church event on April 19th.  Also the different signs of concern that God has shown me inside Lake View Community Church over the last few years that I was in denial of and ignored.  That was until God brought it front and center for me to experience, and witness first hand.

As a result I have sought very sound counsel, across multiple denominations, with solid Christian leaders that God has been gracious to place in my life.  Their encouragement thru advice and discernment have led to me writing this letter, and my decision to move on from Lake View Community Church.

However, as I do, I want to be as clear as possible about a few things, and make sure that there are no doubts about what I will do next.

The reason why I have waited so long to write this is partly due to my intense travel and work schedule.  However, more importantly I wanted to make sure that what I am about to share, and my decisions leading from these revelations, were sincere, and that these following words articulate the concerns properly.  Above all, I wanted to make sure my heart was in the right place as I sent this, and not out of one of an emotionally negative reaction.  I assure you that it is not.

What I share concerns me, as it should others.  It brings me no joy in sharing this.  That is, outside of the fact that I know I have complete peace in being obedient to do what God’s placed on my heart to communicate and bring to light.  I have sought out and have had repeated confirmations that for whatever reason, God has placed what is said in the following paragraphs specifically in my path as a responsibility to share.

To Maryann-

First, anything that has been said to me in confidence in our meetings, or conversations will never be mentioned to others.  You have my word.  Know that I am one that values the character of those who trust a person’s word.  No matter the circumstances, or issues, or what is done to me.

Maryann, know that for certain.  Also know that I respect your trust in me with conversations that we have had in the past.

I am a man of my word, and will do what I say once it is spoken, or communicated in any way.

To Dale-

One of my many human flaws is that I take people at face value.  I give people 100% credit from the very beginning of an introduction that I have with a person.  While this has served me well in creating incredible, life-long relationships, it has blow up in my face more than once.  When it has blown up, God has used that point out very vividly a concern, and to show me who that person really is.  Often times this is beyond what others see who are frequently around them, and that may even live with them, or have been associated with them for some time.  None of whom have been able to perceive for years, or decades.

While I cannot speak from one who is formally trained in psychology, I can speak as one who grew up with, and endured many years of damage and survived by God’s grace, a decimated family, and a church left in ruins.  All as a result of a parent who was a sociopath.  You see my mom, as a pastor’s wife acted at points in the same exact ways that I now have seen you do as a pastor in leading the church.

A sociopath will speak on behalf of others.  They do so for their spouse, and use the names of others around them, whom they perceive as more credible to others.  They seek out to acquire credibility and notoriety from others, or use them as the “fall guy” in case there is blow back or problems with what they say.  They simply can blame that other person that they used the credibility of.  All so that they can acquire the same respect and admiration of others, at least in their own perception, that they want for themselves as well.

Throughout my dad’s ministry my mom would tell others that my dad said something that he wanted her to convey to them.  These people in the church had not even a thought of lack of trust of integrity of my mom because of her position as the pastor’s wife.  But my dad never said anything to these effects that my mom told people he did, and it caused repeated chaos and turmoil.  My dad at points would become so distracted from leading the ministry, because of the constant damage control state it would put him in for days, weeks, and sometimes months.  The sad part about it is that this perpetuated the lack of character on my mom’s part, because my dad never confronted her simply due to his devout loyalty as a husband.  He thought, “why would anyone believe otherwise since she’s the pastor’s wife?”

But the egotistical defiance didn’t stop there.

You see, a sociopath will defiantly lie to the face of someone and tell them they will do one thing.  Then, they act out and do something entirely different right in front of that person.  All the while thinking that their actions are not only normal, but expect admiration for what others see as a lack of character.

A sociopath will do anything they can to put themselves first, and to portray themselves as THE leader, or one of great knowledge and wisdom to others around them.  They promote and find every opportunity to be “the authority” for whatever is being said, or done.  All while doing the most deceptive and deceitfully slandering acts, to put others down that they see as a threat to their perceived role as a person of authority.  The worst part is that they do these things while doing so “in the name of God,” or for some self-perceived noble act.  Many times as the motive to take down, or side-line others that they feel are a threat, or encroach on what they feel they have a right to have only for themselves.

My mom did this repeatedly as I grew up in different ministry roles as well.  She did it in our family and it led to terrible inconsistent parenting.  As her children sometimes what was expected of us was a moving target, only to be found out it was never going to be attainable to please her, or do “the right thing” at all.

All because of her duplicity as a sociopath.

The Intention Of The LHC Brushfire Events Vs. What You Turned It Into-

Dale, as those LHC Brushfire events evolved and took form, the original intent was understood, and communicated to you multiple times in e-mail, documents, and verbally to your face that these were film reviews.  Not pastor preaching events, or anything else.  There was never any disagreement, or remotely objectionable comment from you regarding this.  You in fact acknowledged this.

As I worked behind the scenes to build the event flows, I did everything in my power to provide fair time for all involved that wanted time on stage.  At the same point doing the best I could to balance, out of respect, the time given by everyone in the audience for the events.

I built event flows that clearly marked out the amount of time that was given to you, and then to David Rose, and Connor Cornuke.  All, including you, agreed to hold their time respectively at 5 minutes each.  There was never any concern raised, or problem brought up at any point as to this being unfair, and something not everyone could hold to for any reason.

With David Rose involved, you even had a pastor whom you claimed wanted to partner with you because told me that you, “had the bigger facility,” and that “his church only has a small TV screen.”  That simply was never the case as I found out later.  They easily could have hosted their own screening, and their church does have the proper AV equipment to put on a Film Screening like what we did at Lake View Community Church.

The fact was though that David Rose voluntarily cancelled the event at their church so that they could support, and be a part of the event hosted at Lake View Community Church.

In the days leading up to the event, I asked in e-mails if there were any questions, or if any one of you (Dale, David, Connor) had any issues with the time frames given for the remarks and recommended talking points for starting and ending  the event.  Again, there were no e-mail responses, phone calls, or conversations indicating you, or anyone else following your lead as the hosting church pastor, had any problems with the format of the event and specifically the time provided to everyone.

As I was voluntarily setting up the week leading to the first event, you even came over with the printed event flow in your hands as I worked setting up AV in the church, to ask questions about how the event should go before, and after the film screening.  You then told me to my face, “I know how to shorten or lengthen what I am going to say so that I can stay in my time frame.  You won’t have to worry about me keeping to 5 minutes.  It is David Rose that you will have to worry about because who knows what he is going to do with his time?”

Then the event happened.

First, instead of allowing David and Connor to handle the Pastor and Church Leaders forum in the short amount of 45 minute time frame that they were given, you had to get your time in to posture yourself in front of other pastors.

But that was not enough though.

You then decided to take over the end of what was supposed to be a wrap-up of the film screening event with OVER 30 minutes of YOUR time on stage.  All while knowing full well what you were doing.  All the while not being able to help yourself to having YOUR time to impress pastors, and those in attendance who made up a large audience.  You were determined to turn it into YOUR show.  Not a connection for TP-Faith, or focusing on drawing people to the challenge at the end of the film, but the event was now about YOU.

While Lake View Community Church is your church, and you have made it VERY clear that you will do whatever you want, whenever you want, and however you want it done, one question lingered for days in my head?  Why would you not say anything all the way through the event planning process about anything you intended to carry out on your own?  Even as I spent days putting together your talking points for radio air time, and the event flow schedule.  I would have gladly provided you as much time as you would have desired to speak.  All out of respect for you.  All the while making sure that your guest, David Rose, and Connor Cornuke from TP-Faith had a fair share of time as well and received the respect they deserved for taking of their time to put this event on at YOUR church.

Yet, you said nothing, and decided to lie directly to my face when repeatedly asked if you had any questions, or wanted anything revised in the schedule, or needed anything.  You said nothing, and went as far to tell me you would stick to your time to respect the audience.  Then you did completely the opposite.

While I very rarely mention what I do for people, you know from our conversations in the past, that very large corporate and broadcast events are what I have done for many years around the world.  I provide people the platform with events, while molding content into the optimum experience that engages audiences the most.  That is what God has gifted me with.  I have done so behind the scenes of some of the largest events, and product launches in the world in recent years.  I am very grateful that this reputation continues to this day that God’s given me.  I don’t take the credit for most of these events, and few ever see my credits roll on screens.

I have launched some of the most popular projects in the world.  Because of my skill sets I have worked for many Fortune 1000, 500, and 100 CEO’s and executives internationally.  Many of whom are very Godless men.

However, none of them, in all of my years of experience, has ever been so disrespectful.  I have never been blatantly lied to my face by anyone as you did Dale Ray, when it came to this event.  To have a person that calls himself a Pastor, let alone one who is a supposed Christian brother treat a volunteer that poured weeks of time, and money out of his own pocket, to make the event happen for your church, all without wanting a thing in return, and then to be treated the way that you did me, this only shows your true intent, motivation, and despair of your heart.

I could not in clear conscience treat someone as you did me.  Ever.  I would never have a clear conscience, nor sleep at night if I lied to peoples faces repeatedly as you did to me.

But none of your actions made complete sense until I had time to think about them, and reflect with sought counsel on what I had seen and experienced.  Counsel from several leaders that I call friends in different denominations.  What I shared with them, with what I saw in the halls of Lake View Community Church, combined with your actions that night, helped bring the context of the larger concerning picture into focus.  It helped to make sure that I wasn’t seeing all of this wrong.

Let me explain.

What The Halls Of A Church Share About The Body Who Worships There-

Most churches, regardless of denomination, celebrate what God has done within the church body that is impacting the world.  Whether that is honoring an individual leading a homeless ministry locally, or a statewide Crisis Pregnancy leader who grew up in that church.  As the body of Christ we are commissioned to go out from OUR congregation, and encourage those sitting in the pews of the church to engage the world in the way God has uniquely wired them.  We’re not told to “sponsor the denomination’s missionaries” and wipe our hands clean of the great commission.  We are to BUILD UP, and SEND OUR OWN out into the mission field wherever God may burden a person, or wire someone uniquely to serve.  This is no matter if that person serves directly in a church, or elsewhere thru the skill sets that God has given them.  One just has to read the book of Titus to see that Paul was guiding him after Titus was sent to help Paul from his local church.  Paul “pastor-ed” Titus, and many others in the local church through his admonitions and teachings.

The word pastor as we all know means shepherd.  It is one who constantly is working on raising up their flock in the admonition of the Lord to be sent out themselves, and share the Good News.  Those whom God has given that person to steward, and cultivate their lives to fulfill that great commission from Matthew 28:16-20.  The pastor of a church is one that looks for ways to help others succeed, gain the notoriety, and learn to be bold in their leadership.  A pastor then celebrates what God has done thru others.  The walls of churches celebrate what God has done, often times for decades thru those that have come thru the doors, and then God has called on to be a light elsewhere.  All of them uniquely in the way God called them to be light in our dark world.  Any church’s walls are a testament that celebrate the church community at large with images of outreaches, volunteers and church congregants on missions trips, or impactful moments that are celebrated by the congregation showing what God has done, or continues to do thru them as a church congregation.

My church growing up had a wall of “Timothy’s.”  These were men whom God brought thru the church at one point or another, then of whom God called to serve Him with their unique talents and gifts in areas all over the world.  We had a wall honoring “Parents of the Year,” in our congregation, and another honoring “Sunday School Teacher Of The Year,” on another.  All were honoring others that God used under my dad’s preaching to gain a vision for how God could use them.  The honor for my dad, as the pastor, was setting an example to others of how God could use them if they simply would be willing to, “Let Go, and Let God” do his work.

My dad as a pastor was very reluctant to have his face on anything at the church; including the church bulletin.  Not out of lack of wanting to identify with what God gave him to steward as a pastor, but out of being very cautious to make sure it wasn’t seen as my dad’s church.  It took about 25 years for some of the church leadership to convince him to have a portrait of him placed in the church foyer.  The people wanted this because they wanted to celebrate how God had used him to impact the lives of so many.  He always was trying to find ways to encourage people to use their gifts, their talents, and to challenge them to get involved in God’s work.  He tried to set the example as a servant leader.  As a result he promoted others accomplishments over his own.

My dad lived out and exuded in his life the heart and intent of the statement, “A weak man will do everything he can to put himself in front of others and claim notoriety, while a strong man leads by example, and seeks out ways to give the  notoriety to others.”

I met with another pastor just a few weeks ago that is moving from a church that God’s used him to help turn around from dying with under one hundred people attending, and only a few families, just three years ago.  Now that same church is growing with more than three hundred new people in a very small community; smaller than Lake Havasu City.  All just three years later.  They’re not pulling disgruntled people from other churches.  In fact the church is very careful about filtering out people who come disgruntled from another church.  Rather the church is focused on bringing in new disciples from the community that have never been involved in church.

At the height of this pastor friend’s success he and his family are now moving on to another church, in another town.  He and his family all independently have prayed about this.  Together they all feel the calling to move on to this other church.  Why?  They have it good and their current church loves them.  His daughters are at ages where keeping friends are important.  Many think he’s crazy for leaving when things are so good.  However, everyone in the family all feel they need to go because this new church has called, and God simultaneously has given them the burden to answer that call.  This new church has prayed for him to come and help them disciple THEIR church community.  They want him to help shepherd their church, and help their congregation catch the vision of being a light as a congregation uniquely in their community, as he has helped other do previously.

That’s what happens when you’re called.  That’s what it looks like when you understand the value of shepherding a flock, not looking for personal glorification.  That’s what happens when a church has an impact in their community.

While my dad was not perfect, and the enemy tore apart my family from within, there is no deniability by anyone, even those that disliked my dad in the community, that God used His servant’s heart to set the example, and then encourage others to use THEIR gifts.  He gave others the opportunity to preach from the pulpit frequently from the church, even though he was the senior pastor.  He didn’t shut down the church services when he couldn’t be the one preaching.  He found ways to encourage others to lead.  Not because he didn’t want to, or was lazy.  He was actually the exact opposite.  He led by example, and was the first one out there on church work days working along side people clearing brush, cleaning or repairing, or framing walls for buildings.  He knew the importance of leading by example and engaging others.  He knew how important it was in allowing others to gain the honor and the credit that they deserved.  He had a mantra that he lived by which was, “More is learned by what’s caught, than what’s taught.”  In his ministry, he was the embodiment of what Paul told us in Philippians 2:3, when he said, “Let nothing be done out of selfish ambition, or vain conceit.  Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.”

The Halls Of Lake View Community Church-

As I was setting up equipment for the The Letter To The American Church event on April 19th, I walked the halls, and went into rooms as I was trying to find networking ports and cables to facilitate viewing in overflow rooms.  What shocked me was that out of all of the pictures in all all of the halls and rooms that I went into, only 5 pictures in the nursery showed anyone other than Dale and Maryann Ray in them.  There were some incredible pictures of missions trips to India, and elsewhere, but no where did I see any pictures of people who went as part of the church body to be a part of, share in the experience of, and provide an opportunity to engage in missions, or other works.  That was, except for only both of you Dale and Maryann.

I could not find special moments of the church like baptismal services at the lake, or church work days, or even leaders from within the church that God had worked thru you to raise up and send out into the world.

I then started to notice that all of the images in the church, almost all of the placards on the walls, and certainly all of the pictures in prominent places were of Dale Ray, with some having MaryAnn in them as well, but only when appropriately mentioned as your wife.  There are accolades of community service awards that Dale has received, and honor statements hung by missions groups recognizing Dale Ray.  There are newspaper articles written that highlight Dale Ray.  However, no one else in the church is shown anywhere prominently, for anything that God has used them for.

The hallways of Lake View Community Church are simply hollow halls showing off accolades of ego to one man.  That isn’t the personification, or an image of one who is shepherding a flock, but rather one who is looking to do signs and wonders in the name of God without putting others first.  It certainly isn’t what you would find in one who genuinely takes on the role seriously of a pastor, and the hard work to shepherd his flock.  It is only what you would find in the halls of a church of one who simply wants to draw attention to himself, all in the name of God.  That is NOT what a pastor is.

No matter how many struggles a church goes thru, or splits they may have, a church that has had a leader for decades, as you have been, will have the fruit of people whom God brought through the ministry as we are told in the book of James.  If the pastor truly has shepherded the flock God has given him to steward, the church will have LIVES to show for what God has placed and used that pastor for.  The pastor won’t place as the priority, and in the most prominent areas of a church a show of personal accolades that show off he is the leader.  They don’t prominently hang on the walls at the entrances for all to see only the leaders good works.  Rather, a true shepherd strives to find ways to praise God and others, and to show what God has humbly used OTHERS for.  A shepherd that loves his flock, and doesn’t look on them as people whom he can control, preach down to, or have a place of authority over will rather have an uncontain-able desire to show how God has worked thru others in his flock.

A person in the pulpit can initiate revivals, perform healings, cast out demons, slay people in the spirit, give prophecies, anoint people with oil, and perform many other wondrous acts that provide the perception of doing things right.  All of these done of course “in the name of God.”  But when the fruit of a church, especially one that has had decades to flourish, has very little, if no humanly-cultivated, “God grown,” spiritual fruit to show for it, those acts are considered hollow by God according to Matthew 7:22-23.

Your Vision Shoved Out The Door By Ego-

Both of you Dale and Maryann, once shared with me a vision that both of you had years ago that you have been clinging to for years.  It was one that you were holding onto as a promise God gave you for passing on the torch of leadership responsibility at Lake View Community Church, “when the time came.”  It was one of a young man who would come to the church that you could pass the torch onto for leading the church after you.

I wonder now if God indeed has brought that person thru the door hundreds, if not thousands of times throughout the decades of your position, and ministry role at Lake View Community Church?  I wonder if one or more, maybe came from God to fulfill that vision that didn’t quite meet the exact expectations you had of what that person would be?  I wonder if they were then looked down upon, instead of discipled by the pastor, and given an opportunity to flourish with their preaching because of their background that God raised them out of?  I wonder if others God gave had a humble, yet attractive charisma about them that refreshed others spirits, yet they were seen as a threat to take over the pulpit you cling to Dale Ray?  I wonder if another person didn’t quite meet perfection, and didn’t care if the pulpit was placed 4 inches off center for the service, because they were more focused on helping others serve and be exalted before themselves?  I wonder if others were not even considered because their focus was more on the people than the perceived image of perfection, or of their look as a “clean” church volunteer?  I wonder if all of these, and more, God brought to the church at many different points in time, yet all were shoved right back out the front door from whence they came.  All because ego wouldn’t allow God to use other imperfect men in greater capacities, even though they had a sincere burden God was beginning to shape in their heart to do so.  Maybe even a heart greater for God than had been seen at the church by present leadership?  I wonder as a result of these people moving on if the time for passing on the torch of leadership as God had answered your prayers in His time, has now come and gone leaving only an ego clinging onto the pulpit, doing and preaching wondrous things in the name of God without the years of harvesting spiritual fruit to show for it.

Dale Ray, I hope to God that I am wrong about all that I have mentioned.  I hope that you can prove to others all that I have missed with looking for pictures of the many people who have come thru the doors whom were sent out as Godly leaders from Lake View Community Church, and that are honored in the hallways of YOUR church.  If not, you have damned yourself thru decades of prioritizing yourself, front and center of a church, to do things in the name of God, but never exuded the actions that come from a genuine, servant-hearted shepherd focused on equipping, and building his flock up to send out as light from Lake View Community Church.  I hope that you can show the pictures that share the stories of how God has used you to set an example and to serve others with a servant leaders heart beyond the charmed greetings you give before or after a service, or preaching a resounding message.  I hope that you can show that more has been learned and continues on by what has been caught under your leadership, more than what has been taught from you front and center on the stage, in the pulpit.

My Intent Moving Forward-

In spite of all that has transpired, and that God has now shown me, know that as I dust my feet off as the Bible tells me to in Matthew 10:14, I have forgiven what has happened.  This is even though there never has been any word of apology.  From what I have seen in actions I would never expect there to be any.  However, I have sincerely released it all to God and forgive.

I do promise that I will never forget what has transpired.  I will move on to other opportunities that I know God has in store for me with other ministry opportunities in the community.  At the same point, I will be honest, open, and up front with my experience at Lake View Community Church, and what God has allowed me to witness and walk away from should anyone ask me to share.  Much of which is now obvious to me, and has clearly been transpiring for decades, “in the name of God” at Lake View Community Church.  However it is clear those acts have more to do with a god complex than it does with humble shepherding of the flock that God has entrusted to Lake View Community Church.

My intent of this letter, or anything in the future is not, nor will ever be, one of vengeance.  I have found very early on in life, that God himself, without any help from us mortals, exposes the truth of those who have done so many things in His name, but were never of the mind of Christ.  HIS vengeance, exposure of, decimation and removal of people who lack character, is far greater than anything I could conjure up in my mortal mind.  We just have to stay out of His way.  I pray about it, and leave it to Him, and only act according to the responsibility that He’s made evident to me.  Of which for this experience is writing this open letter.  God will protect and take care of me.  I have no doubt about that.  God will also show the truth to all that desire to seek out the truth, no matter how difficult it may be to see, in His time, long after this open letter is written.

Accusations Against Another Pastor-

As to the topic of the accusations that remain in closed meetings and conversations at Lake View Community Church regarding David Rose this needs to be noted.  With the amount of time that these accusations have been known about (well over 3+ months), yet nothing has been done to publicly expose the supposed facts, only one of two conclusions can be derived from what is transpiring-

1) Either the accusations have no substantiated proof, at which point what is being fomented can only be perceived in it’s basic form as slander from within Lake View Community Church towards another church pastor in the community.

2) Or, the accusations were conjured up in the first place, and Lake View Community Church is safe-harboring those who intend to cause dissension in the greater church body of Lake Havasu City.  They do so by continuing to allow these accusations to foment without bringing them publicly forward, and to light against those whom they are attacking.

No matter if this is for personal, egotistical gain, in putting down another pastor, or for other reasons that only lead to unsubstantiated false accusations, it’s all slander.

Slander, as I have mentioned before to many, is verbal napalm.  It utterly destroys communities, churches, families, and individuals.  Most times the truth about it comes out long after the damage has been done, and is irreparable to the innocent individual who was slandered against.

My Personal Experience With Living Thru The Damage Of Slander-

I am very keen to understanding this issue because I personally saw this happen multiple times from people within my dad’s church attacking him, and have experienced it myself.  On the personal level, I have had supposed Christian family members accuse me of being immoral.  I had one person in a ministry accuse me of being a porn addict.  All of these slanderous accusations against me, of which initially I was not even given a chance to defend myself were false.  The attackers finally came clean about the accusations, and exposed that it was them who were deflecting issues that they had with their attacks against me.

Long after the damage had been done the impact often times took years to clean up from.  I even had men decimate my business to nothing.  All as a result of slanderous accusations by one of them that I was mishandling financial accounts for a project which they desired me to build.  All of the accusations were built up to take, not just the projects and my businesses intellectual property, but worse.  With their attack, they went after all that I had, and decided to include threatening the very existence of my life because I would not cave to their slander and malicious demands.  I lived homeless in my jeep at that point for three and a half years because I did not want to be around any friends or family if these men came after my life.

Again the truth came out, and the accusations were proven false with the proof I provided.  Once again though, unfortunately it happened long after the damage had been done.  The damage went so far as to the point of where I lost other clients that I had long lasting relationships with, and employees that had worked with me for years on different projects.  All because of slander by one man, without any cause, or proof of what he was accusing me of.  That part of my business was so decimated that there was nothing left to recover.

Personal accounts at different times in my life with slander provides me first hand experience of how decimating it can be as the recipient, when you have done nothing wrong, or worse, there is no proof delivered as evidence by others.  The only thing that often times is the catalyst for perpetuating the slander is the accusers own words, attacking your reputation, while accusing you of wrong doing.  All the while, the person who is being slandered, is put on trial by being guilty just from words being proliferated by others without any proof.  Most often this transpires when people who have no idea trust those they are listening to who are building the slander.  The listeners assume that those attacking have character and credibility due to a relationship or credibility with that person in the past, so why should they doubt them now?  As a result listeners don’t doubt the words of the attacker, and take them at face value.

When slander is done in the name of God, and inside a church, it’s even more damning as it exposes the heart of all involved.

Accusations Against David Rose-

I do not know all of the accusations against David Rose.  From what I have been told verbally by you Dale Ray it is a financial mishandling and misappropriation.  However, I do know that these accusations without any evidence brought forward publicly, have been going on for months now.  What I also know is that when someone, or a group of people continue to foment dissent, and create an utter divisive accusation, without being willing to come forward with proof of what they are accusing a person of, and while not providing the accused person the opportunity to prove themselves innocent, that can be construed as nothing less than malicious slander.  Malicious slander that legally can be seen as defamation of character.  If in fact the accusations are being harbored under the roof of a church, and can be construed as being done so for any reason, “in the name of God,” because the leader of that church continues to endorse, and perpetuate it, this exposes one problematic concern for all in that church.  That is the rotten core of deceitful intent behind the motives of the slander of all, including the pastor, who are involved in perpetuating this verbal napalm.

The time has come to expose, and bring to light what others in the church, and in the community at large, accuse David Rose of doing.

Dale Ray, you need to bring to the public light the accusations against David Rose that you have been speaking about to others, along with those whom have proof of this wrong doing.  Not just in a church meeting behind closed doors, or during a service, but to public light in the press, and elsewhere to expose it to the community at large of Lake Havasu City, ALL of the accusations you are holding against David Rose.  You need to do this within 30 days.  No matter what the man has done, he deserves the chance to defend himself at the least.  If these accusations are true, and the evidence is substantiated, It should be no problem for you, or the others with these accusations to expose the truth.  In fact, if there is evidence it should be done within a matter of a few days.

If Evidence Of Wrong Doing Is Not Brought To Light Publicly-

If however, exposure at the public level, does not happen by June 28th, I am personally standing up against this, and will proceed with the following:

1) I will write a letter to the London Bridge Christian Churches stating that you, Dale Ray, the former president of the organization, and current member as Pastor of Lake View Community Church, are harboring, and fomenting slander against their current president, David Rose.  All as a result of no evidence brought forward to public light of these slanderous accusations.

2) I will write a letter to Lake View Community Church’s denomination, Grace International’s leadership, notifying them of the slander that is transpiring against another local pastor from the church in Lake Havasu City whom associates with their denomination, without any exposure of evidence or cause after ample time, and a request of evidence of the accusations has been given.

3) I will write a letter to the Church of God denomination’s leadership notifying them of the slander that is transpiring against their own pastor David Rose in their denomination, by another pastor and church in the Lake Havasu City community without any exposure of evidence or cause after ample time, and a request of evidence of the accusations has been given.

Please, Please Prove Me Wrong-

Dale, I cannot tell you how much that I hope that I am wrong in this perception of deceitful intent.  I do know that the unfortunate truth is that it resonates with awful actions of others, whom claimed roles themselves as church leaders, who exposed themselves of their duplicity.  Those other church leaders, for various egotistically obsessed reasons had only malicious intent driving their diabolical actions with what I have seen before.  The same patterns persist here with these accusations, and how they are being handled and coddled by you as a pastor without any evidence.

I hope that you can prove that this is not a frantic, ego-driven, divisive scheme to decimate a younger pastor in the community.  One who now holds the president’s position with London Bridge Church Community, that you once revered holding the position for personal notoriety in the community.  I hope I am wrong in seeing that instead of you finding opportunities to build him up, and helping to lead him by example, by continuously finding ways to serve him and others, you’re doing everything to passively-aggressively tear his reputation down, all for your personal gain.

I hope that you can prove all of these accusations, and present it to your church, and to the greater Lake Havasu City community at large publicly within the next month.

If not, it will tragically prove that what I have seen is validated, and all has been done in the name of God, without God’s spirit even being remotely involved for quite some time with your actions and deeds, as one who has clung to the role of a pastor.

I sincerely hope that I am wrong, and that the accusations can be brought to light with conclusive proof, and not just the word of mouth frail threads that these accusations are being used to loosely hold together.  For the sake of many, including your reputation, and that of the church body that is under your leadership at Lake View Community Church, please come forward with the evidence, and allow David Rose a chance to speak for and defend himself.

If however I am right, God help you.  For that sir, I do not in the least bit envy you for the consequences of your choices now, but especially when God judges your actions at the Bema seat. (James 3:1)  Not coming forward with proof of the accusations will also reveal the true character and intent of why you obsessively cling to the pulpit, while so many God has brought thru the doors, with their unique talents, but may not have fit your exact idea of a leader, have all been driven out of Lake View Community Church throughout the decades.

I for one am now counted as one of those many hundreds, if not thousands of people that God has brought thru your church doors, only to move on because of your ego.

To Others Reading This Open Letter-

For the rest of you reading this letter, I hope that you will learn from my failures and mistakes.  I failed in ignoring the signs for quite some time of what had been transpiring long before I had started attending Lake View Community Church in the last few years.  It took God jolting me awake by putting everything that I should have been noticing, right in front of my face, in a condensed amount of time.  Please learn from my human failures and use the objective mind that God has given you to do an audit of what you have seen at your church, and those whom claim positions of authority who lead your congregation.  I certainly have learned from these mistakes and will apply this wisdom from my failures moving forward with other church involvement that God provides me to be a part of.

To those of you reading this letter who volunteered your time, and also those who came to attend what was supposed to be a film screening, with the intention of very little said at the end to respect your time on April 19th, it is I who needs to apologize to YOU.  I failed you in building an event for you as a church and community at large.  While the signs again were there, I was in denial of what was to happen, based on repeated historical precedence acted out long before this event.  For that I sincerely apologize for my lack of discernment and realization of what really was going to happen.  I promise you that God has taught me a very impactful and valuable lesson, never to be forgotten, thru humbling me in this experience.  He has shown me my blind-sides, and my need for greater discernment of people in leadership, without just giving them the benefit of the doubt because of their position of authority while doing things “in the name of God.”

The weeks, and hours that I poured into shaping that event, along with the development of the other three events that never happened, were presented as, and were agreed to be simply film screenings.  They were intended to draw you to awareness thru content, interviews, and introductions to incredible people pushing back against the darkness right now in our world.  Those events were built not as movies with preaching time on the end out of respect for you the audience’s time.  They were intended to focus your attention on content that made you aware, while giving you motivation to engage hope!

While I should have seen the signs long before the event of what I have mentioned above, I failed at seeing that it would be taken over for an ego-driven opportunity, shrouded in a thinly veiled “Godly purpose” for challenging politicians, and others to do the right thing.  God had placed it on my heart to create for the church and community of Lake Havasu City.  It was always intended as an outreach opportunity for Lake View Community church, and to help wake up the church at large in the greater Colorado River area.  All for you to hear the truth of hard to discuss issues that are prevalent in our country right now.

Content Specifically For You-

The content for these events were woven together in a unique order.  The pre-event content was intentionally designed all to help you as the body of Christ, and the community, to see amazing opportunities how you can get involved.  No matter your time, talent, or physical limitations there are opportunities.  At the same time, you were being introduced to a much bigger picture of the cast of each of the films interviews.  Each of these people who were interviewed are great examples who are pushing back in their own unique way, and calling others to get on board with driving back against darkness in their communities.  It was a challenge woven thru content to help you to not buy into the lie that you cannot do anything.  Everyone can do SOMETHING!

Some of these people are making small wins in their communities that you’ll never hear about in the news cycles, while others are making HUGE wins against major organizations, state, and federal boards and others.  One example that was just announced recently was of one of the cast of the next film to be shown who won a law suit in the last few weeks.  Jessica Tapia was a young teacher in California who was asked to lie to parents, and call kids by what the children in her classroom chose to identify as.  She took a stand and refused.  She sued the School District for firing her for NOT lying to parents, and NOT calling kids by their preferred pronouns.  Just recently the school board provided her a settlement to end the case.  You can read more about it here- https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/05/justice-christian-teacher-fired-refusing-use-students-preferred/

There are wins happening, and bringing that to light is vitally important to squelch the onslaught of psychological warfare that we’re being barraged with in the media, and on social networks that defeats us from doing anything.

My Challenge To Anyone Reading This Letter-

Take the time, and invest the money if you haven’t done so already, to watch these films yourself.  They are each under $20 to purchase or rent.  I have no affiliation with any of them, and receive no commission or money to tell you about them.  I actually purchased the films that were going to be shown at the LHC Brushfire events myself.  I did so without hesitation because I knew the power, and potential impact God has used these films to make in myself, and others.  I wanted each and everyone that was taking of their time to watch these to have the opportunity for God to use the content to engage them uniquely as God wired them.  I was making an investment in you, and was working behind the scenes to be the conduit, while giving Lake View Community Church the notoriety for what was going to be done.

I challenge you to consider sitting down and watching all of these films with others.  Have some friends over for a film screening a few times this summer, and share the content with them.  Fuel the brushfire, don’t let it burn out!  The site is still up, and you can click on the links to go to each of the film’s respective websites at- lhcbrushfire.com

The Bible repeatedly tells us to acquire the truth.  Many of these admonitions are found in Proverbs and are written by the wisest and wealthiest man that ever lived.  It never says that the truth will make us feel good, or give us a warm feelings.  What it does promise is that it will give us insight into the world around us, and the battlefront that we have been born on that God has called us to fight for Him on in our present world.

Please don’t let whatever transpired from those in power at Lake View Community Church be what the enemy uses to prevent YOU from gaining wisdom, insight, and understanding to help advance and push back against the darkness right now.  Our world needs each of you, no matter your age, qualifications, or who you are.  Recognize that you need to be the light that God has created you for in a way that He can place on your heart to push back against the darkness.  Only you can do so in a way that He has uniquely created you for.  You are who He has created to be alive at this time to do exactly what He’s called YOU to do.

We as a church have got to change our mindset if we are going to be the example Christ has called us to.  Especially if we are to see any change that we all desire in our world to turn the tide, and change the course of our current trajectory.

The Church Is Desperately Lacking Boldness And Sincerity From Genuine Shepherds-

I wish I could say that Lake View Community Church’s issues today are isolated, but they’re not.  Pastor’s blame COVID, live-streaming, and other excuses why people are not coming thru their doors as their churches dwindle to nothing.  Yet, often times it is either ego, or lack of boldness, combined with sound vision of direction for the church, that give people a reason to turn away.  The church, as a whole, but especially at the top leadership roles, lacks boldness today.  Pastors continue to lure those in their pews, and chairs, into a lull of just thinking that prayer and listening to the pastor is all that is required to fight back against the enemy at large.  All the while our children are committing suicide because they’re being told that how God created them doesn’t matter.  Our families are falling apart because of our lack of understanding of how psychological warfare is effecting each of us with every flick on the screen of our phones.  We as Christians shake a finger at Hollywood, and think we’ve done our good deed by signing some petition, or not supporting “them,” by not watching some filth being promoted on our favorite streaming service.

All the while we as a church have no intent to equip ourselves, and our children to ADVANCE against darkness.  We’re not intentional about learning HOW to GET INVOLVED in those sectors where the light is needed most.  We don’t confront the enemy on the battlefield, yet cannot figure out why our family, church, communities, and country are crumbling around us.  Sure we hear the saying, “As the church goes so goes the country,” but what are WE DOING about it?

Church leadership is more concerned about how much is going to be lost financially, if they were to be bold, that they default to not exposing the congregation to the FULL TRUTH.  Just a partial, convenient, and barely shocking excerpt of truth is all that is commonly shared.  Why?  Because our pastors still want grandma to give.  All the while she can’t figure out why her grandchildren are killing themselves because of a social media post.  The body of Christ is lulled into thinking there’s nothing they can, or should do, and to just continue to go to church and surround ourselves in echo chambers of similar thinking people.  We then think it is right to ignore looking for opportunities to go out into the world and advance God’s light against our present darkness.  Sure, we as Christians CLAIM to know about the “spiritual warfare” and our “spiritual armor,” yet no one puts theirs on anymore.  We are just content to take time to just polish it every week by going to church, and maybe daily for some, by engaging in doing their devotions.

Friends, you and I were born on a battle field, and CALLED TO ACTION  We were NOT called to put on blinders.  We were never given spiritual armor for boasting points, or commanded to sit with our armor hanging on the wall as Godly decorations.  God didn’t call us as Christians into the catering tent, waiting for the enemy to mysteriously vanish.  He called us to pursue the truth and to PUSH BACK on the darkness, no matter how vile it is.

Our Churches Lack Boldness-

If our churches don’t have leadership leading in humility that are bold enough to wake people up in their slumber in the pews, and are focused on equipping their flocks with the cold, hard truth, then we cannot expect the nation, or our world to turn around.  If we’re spending our time attacking other churches, instead of coming along side and helping those whom are less experienced in our church communities, then how should we expect our politicians and representatives to get it together?

The following three LHC Brushfire events that were cancelled, were all created uniquely for you as the audience, with content specifically created from solid Christians that God has placed behind enemy lines.  These people understand, and have been exposed to the truth that too many Christians are conveniently naive in realizing the full extent of what really is transpiring.  Especially beyond what is shown by their favorite conservative media outlet.  As a result, and because of this lack of information there is a convenient passivity negating the need to confront, and expose the issues that are at hand in our present world.  The enemy truly is working from within the walls of our churches to numb the minds of Christians into falsely believing that they are standing up for what’s right.  All by simply going to church and nodding their heads in agreement, or shaking their heads at “convenient evils” that pastors are ok in lightly touching on or mentioning.

All the while, we as the body of Christ are doing nothing to push back against the darkness ourselves.  We have cultivated a culture of “wait for someone else to do it” in Churches, and subsequently have lost our nation.  We now are loosing our children, our grandchildren, and any resemblance of a family based culture, all because the truth is too uncomfortable for us to confront.

Sure pastors will give a challenging message, and encourage people to go vote.  But ask yourself these questions:

1) When was the last time you heard of, or saw a pastor show visuals during a Sunday Morning service of what is transpiring at Drag Queen Story hours, then challenging the church to get involved in pushing back in their communities in specific ways?

2) Of course we’ve all heard a rousing message every now and then that encourages us to remember some patriotic duty.  When however was the last time you heard a pastor provide disturbing truth to the real reality of what kids are getting barraged with in our schools, or what legislators are damning the next generation with as a result of the specific legislative decisions being made now?

3) Has your church had a “Porn Sunday” exposing the truth of what is decimating our church leadership, our families, and our children, boys, and even now MORE GIRLS.  All that is rampantly prevalent MORE within the church than outside our walls?

I would imagine your answer is no to all of these.  No, because it’s too provocative and confrontational.  It doesn’t fit the “safe for the whole family, with no sharp edges,” warm and friendly Jesus narrative that pastors are deceived into believing their congregations want to hear.

You see, what is put in the offering plate, box, or basket, after that Sunday service is the priority.  Pastor’s prioritize their paycheck over the truth that God wants them to deliver.  Where the church would talk about tough issues like the few mentioned above, and many more, Pastors fear the offering may be lower, or someone “loyal” (a.k.a. a big tither) might leave as a result of presenting RAW truth.  There’s never any consideration as to the top priority of allowing God to do HIS convicting work in the hearts of the body of Christ by exposing the truth.  Uncomfortable people are NOT what pastors want, because Pastors want people to give to perpetuate THEIR ambitions and comfort-abilty.  People who aren’t challenged frequently, don’t give out of un-comfort-ability.  They rather only give out of good feelings.

All the while, the truth of application of the gospel in which is the core of what we believe as Christians is divisive and uncomfortable.  Exposing and repenting from personal sin, while accepting the payment of our penalty of death that Jesus gave us, is ONLY THE BEGINNING of the relational journey of our faith.  Our faith IS CONFRONTATIONAL!  It IS DIVISIVE!  It IS all about revealing the truth, and allowing God to do HIS convictive work in each and everyone of our lives.

My dad had a phrase that he often used when challenging other pastors, and his church to take a stand for righteousness.  This was often after exposing very difficult topics that people needed to be challenged with exposing and confronting in their current culture.  That phrase was simply, “All that evil has ever had to do to succeed is for good people to do nothing.  NOTHING!”

My dad’s boldness had costs.  The Christian radio station, where his service was broadcast live on Sunday mornings, their tower lines were cut, and the tower crumbled and took them off air for months.  All within hours after his preaching on-air condemned abortion.  We had picket lines in front of our church of homosexuals when my dad invited a prominent leader at that time, in the Federal government, who was exposing homosexual legislation, and other issues who spoke at our church.  Our families lives were threatened 6 times, and my dad’s personally 8 times that I know of growing up.

We as a family, however knew the cost.  It was living thru those experiences that I learned the great valuable lesson which is that God HONORS BOLDNESS.  God rewarded and grew the church He gave my dad to pastor for 50 years as a result of my dad not fearing what was going in the offering plate, or whom he would offend.  My dad boldly brought to light current issues, and evil in our land to the front and center of Sunday morning services.  He exposed the uncomfortable parts of our world to his congregation.  As a result of that, and his servant’s heart to commission others, there were many who went out into the world to specifically fight back against the darkness.  Some were stay at home moms who engaged on immediate topics in their intra-church communities, while others God called to political power locally, and others all the way to the federal level.

All as a result of one man in the pulpit, knowing that God called him to be lead people by his example.  That example was one with boldness.

Christians, the time has come for ALL of us to BE BOLD, and not care what the world may think.  We cannot be distracted by what other so called churches, church leaders, or friends in the pews of our churches think of us, or what they may try to deter us from.

Everyone CAN DO SOMETHING!  God’s waiting for YOU to do what He’s created YOU uniquely for.  RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!

GO WITH BOLDNESS and attack the darkness in the way that God’s uniquely wired YOU to do!

Remember, “For God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”- II Timothy 1:7

The Letters To Be Sent Out June 28th-

As for the letters mentioned, I will be sending them out on June 28th, if nothing is brought to public exposure before that date, regarding the accusations against David Rose.  Specifically those accusations that are being harbored, whatever the reason or perceived gain at Lake View Community Church.

I sincerely hope that in every way what is being perceived with harboring these accusations without proof at this point will be made known as NOT being true by exposure of the truth to all.  Especially those allegations that have been harbored, and held behind closed doors, and private conversations up until now.

If not, then at the very least, and as one that has personally experienced the damning effects of similar tactics, I will bring what is transpiring to light.
